On 11 and 12 December 2025, the Department of Biological, Geological and Environmental Sciences of the University of Bologna hosted the 10th “Incontri di Geologia” meeting, organised by the Italian Geological Society. The event, promoted through the collaboration of the GeoSed, Marine Geology, and Planetary Geology Sections, represented an important opportunity for scientific exchange among young researchers, including doctoral students, research fellows, and RTDa.
Within this framework, Teresa Fracchiolla, research fellow at the University of Bari, presented new data from the BERMS project. Through the poster entitled “The BERMS Project and the Integrated Characterisation of Southern Italian Beaches”, she illustrated the first results obtained from the processing and interpretation of integrated geophysical data, which are essential for improving the understanding of coastal system dynamics in southern Italy.
